Architecture Art Styles
In my four years at TSP Inc, I had the opportunity to look at archives of their old Architectural renderings that they did for clients. Though these were “just marker comps”, they were beautiful. I always loved the inherent juxtaposition in them. They had technically precise aspects lines and sharp line work. But they also had that dream-like marker color and texture.
When those renderings were made by the hands of a seasoned pro, they came to life in the way any fine art does. So we toyed with the idea of developing a sort of in-house illustration style. It never moved out of the conceptual stage, but I was able to make a proof-of-concept of what I was thinking.
I imported the line work into Adobe Illustrator out of their rendering software. Everything after that was using traditional water color, markers, and photoshop trickery.
